A huge final at the Petone WMC last night (Thurs 2 Sept), with a very tight finish.

Otaki RSA's 2 1/2 Men came from 2nd place to take the trophy by half a point from Johnless (Upper Hutt Cossie), who finished second for the second consecutive year. Defending champions Coalition of the Swilling (Upper Hutt Cossie) came in third, and also took out the Best Dressed for their brilliant portrayal of Asterix, Obelix and co. Waikanae Golfers sneaked into 4th place, and a special mention to Paraparaumu RSA's JARK, scoiring a massive 17 out of 20 in the final round to jump into 5th. Upper Hutt Cossie retained the Club Trophy for the highest overall score from all participating clubs.

A BIG Thank You to Mexy and his team at Petone WMC for all the hard work and for making everyone feel very welcome.  Also to Wayne for helping sort out the computer glitches that threatened to derail the night before it even started. PLUS the tremendous support from the sponsors - TUI - who continue to get behind this very popular event.

Another big night at Charltons on Tuesday the 16th.

And another close finish. Going into the last couple of rounds 9 of the 15 teams were within 7 points of the lead.

Saints & Sinners prevailed though, taking it out on 82 points (their 3rd win out of the last 4)  1 point ahead of No Idea. Doh was 3rd on 79, and Jim & Co and Bazinga rounding out the Top 5 on 77 each. A special mention to Simple Minds - only 2 of them - finishing in 9th place - good on ya Steve & Nicky.
