Wow!! Close competition 2 nights in a row saw tie-breakers needed on both nights to determine the winners.

Tuesday night at the Upper Hutt Cossie 10 teams within 8 points going into the final round, but it was the old stagers 'Cupid Stunts' and 'Coalition of the Swilling' that finished up equal on points at the tob of the table. 'Cupid Stunts' were closest with their answer for the decider, and etched their name again on the 'Candyman' trophy.

Wednesday night saw 18 teams front for the annual Wairarapa Hospital Social Club quiz - the biggest turnout for a long time. 'We're no orthopods but we'll give it a crack' led all the way but where it mattered most, 'Rejects 2011' equalled things up on the final round forcing the tiebreaker, which they narrowly took out. '3 Cheers for the Pharmacy' lived up to expectations finishing a distant and lonely last. A huge thanks to the ginga Gail Edwards for once again organising a fantastic night

Host club Johnsonville started the 2011 Tui Series. A very competitive night started off with Timps Corner dominant but the predictable "choke" came and they gradually slipped away. Tri-Nations held on despite the absence of their feisty Fijian, ahead of the Da Family and Angry Wee Men, who should change their to Arumentative Wee Men. Next up defending champs Otaki RSA on Wednesday 17 August.

The 12 point "Who am I?" was the winning of the night for Cunning Stunts at Charltons Silverstream. Trailing by one point going into the round, they nailed the correct answer on the first clue. So Be It had to settle for second place with 5 points. Anoither hugely competitive night and another massive turnout. Seven teams within seven points of the leaders going into the final round. And yes despite the vociferous protestations of a very patriotic Dutch woman, the Van Gogh Art Museum is definitely located in Amsterdam.

Another close Quiz Night & more tough competition at Charltons, Silverstream. 17 teams squeezed in & the competition was fierce. Cupid Stunts took out the major shares, after scoring the 12 points on the Who Am I, with Hubbard's Cupboard's Bare 4 points back in 2nd place. Tom's Mob managed another Top 3 finish, with The Beez nailing 4th place.Wow!! What a crowd!! Love the place!!

With demand so high, the decision has been made to limit to the first 15 teams to reserve a table. So get in early to avoid disappointment!!

Back to normal at Upper Hutt Cossie Club after the much hyped Heineken series. And great to see a good crowd (17 teams) front up. Major Bloodnok took control from the start - dropping just 1 point in the first 4 rounds. That was too much to make up and they "cruised" to victory by 3 points from So You Think and the unlucky MT Nest. Lots of great feedback that things were back to normal. Expect a bigger turnout again on Tuesday 12 July.
